PART 3 "The Yellow Wall-paper"

When i read the story this is kind of how i pictured the land looking with the pole barns around the house and a little garden well without snow on it. The top picture i took looking out the window of my house and it was kind of suppose to represent her looking out at the world from her room i wanted to put someone out in the yard by a tree or something but no one was home and i needed to get the pictures done.

PART 2 "The Yellow Wall-paper"

I took this picture to symbolize that even though she was locked in her room it was like she was locked up in time. When she was locked up the days went by and she was locked in her room because any activity would strain her and further disable her progress. The clock i believe was the thing that drove her to insanity.

Part One of "The Yellow Wall-paper"

I used these pictures for a few different reasons to start out with i thought that the scrapped walls and the open window looking down could symbolize her looking out and the walls that held the mystery lady in. The picture of the school room was to symbolize the fact that all the kids were the ones that tore at the wallsover the years. and the bottom picture is for the look of the building how i pictured it.

For red i used the glass jar sitting at my my house because it catches the eye and has a calm but also suspicous feel to it. Repulsive #2

"Unknown".... This picture was taken at my friends house in his bathroom where his old sink looks extremely repulsive and something that you wouldn't want to get near. I used color balance on this picture to make it more neutreal. This picture looks repulsive for the fact that its rusted out and has mold growing on the nossles.

Repulsive #1

"Draining Expression"....... This picture i took under a bridge in milwaukee where a run off hole sits on a wall and has probably drained out all types of stuff for years leaving behind a gooey trail of its history. This drain hole is not attractive to the eye at all with the dark colors and look of it. I used the color balance tool to modify it in photoshop. Even though this is just a picture the texture of the picture just makes the drain hole look repulsive and unattractive.

Attractive #2

"Unknown" This picture was taken in my front yard on a day when we actually had some sun. I like this picture because its a very calming picture and just flows and thats what i think it takes to be an attractive picture. The only modifications i used was color balance to balance it all out.

Attractive #1

"A Christmas Wish" I took this picture because its really kind of a mellow picture with the colors all just bringing it together and making it an attractive picture. I used the color balance tool to modify the picture together. This picture was not set up at all and liked how it came out i think its attractive to the eye.

This picture was ment to be more of a basic montage with a deep meaning. In all old movies where people are lost in the desert and the last thing they see is a bussered ready to eat you and a skull of a cow so i wanted to bring that into the picture. The deep meaning is that art is what we love to do and its something that we would go to the edge of the earth to do even if it left us in the middle of the desert. I layered this picture on top of a basic picture of jake and luke walking through a field back to the car. The layers were pictures of places we have explored to photograph because all of us see beauty in the decay of urban society.
I just did the top one i was unhappy with the plainess of the bottom one and just wanted to add to it and was happy with the change.

This picture i titled "Expressing" for the fact i took alot pictures and made a background out of them but added onto them. My second layer was pretty basic with adding a picture that i took of a semi truck that had graffiti on it put i took the pic behind the fince and blended it in. The three faces are my focal points representing all the different phases of art from people who look over to me to people excited about my work which i think there is no better feeling then when people tell you how good your work is.

"When you become a real soldier"
The first montage i covered anti war using the spray paint cans with a broken heart in the middle as a background to kind of set the idea. I used the flower as a focal point as kind of to represent death of loss and the fence as a feeling of being blocked out from the people you hold close. I used text in the picture as a letter from the army notifying a loss of a family member or friend but didnt want it to completly stand out so i blended it in alot.
"Beauty in the Decay"
For the second montage I did use alot of text but only to pull the picture together as a whole. When my dad moved to Milwaukee i loved it i loved walking around the downtown and looking at all the graffiti and broken down buildings its all something that s so real and i wanted to incorporate this into my work and what it means to me. I have always said you have to free your mind at any expense and never let yourself have limitations so you have to do what you have to do if it is what you love.
