"When you become a real soldier"
The first montage i covered anti war using the spray paint cans with a broken heart in the middle as a background to kind of set the idea. I used the flower as a focal point as kind of to represent death of loss and the fence as a feeling of being blocked out from the people you hold close. I used text in the picture as a letter from the army notifying a loss of a family member or friend but didnt want it to completly stand out so i blended it in alot.
"Beauty in the Decay"
For the second montage I did use alot of text but only to pull the picture together as a whole. When my dad moved to Milwaukee i loved it i loved walking around the downtown and looking at all the graffiti and broken down buildings its all something that s so real and i wanted to incorporate this into my work and what it means to me. I have always said you have to free your mind at any expense and never let yourself have limitations so you have to do what you have to do if it is what you love.

Nice start, but be careful that your images are cut out well. The truck seems a bit rough. However, the layers are handled well.
Since this blog is for school, it should have full grammatical sentences. Please be careful of that in the future. Thanks!
I really like your montages. Especially the first one, but I'm not sure your theme is apparent unless it is viewed on a large scale. You did a great job discreetly intergrating typography into it. I didn't even notice it until I viewed the larger version, and I think that's important for a photo montage. The second one is done great, but is lacking focal point. Also, the idea of using "graffiti" and saying how you view it is a valid art source is great, and I completely agree but that idea is almost cliche and overused.
I like the bottom one even though it has words I think you used them to really help bring your eye around the page it really helps get the full effect of the image and with the graffiti back round and the old broken truck really make this vary intersting
I really like the entire concept of this montage. I really like how you used the fence lightly in the photo it creates a really cool feel to it. I also really like the graffiti that was put into this it's interesting to look at and looks very nice in the montage. Nice job :)
